冈本视频 will have over 2,000 students receive degrees, diplomas, and certificates this spring semester.
There was slight increase in the number of graduates, and there was a 27% increase in the number of high honor and honor students compared to May 2020.
“We are proud of our graduating students who have achieved this life-changing accomplishment,” said Dr. Jeff Rafn, 冈本视频 president. “With all of challenges our students faced this past year, we are overjoyed to have an increase in graduates and also the number of students awarded honors.”
May graduation includes candidates who are expected to have completed their studies between January 1 and May 18, 2021. Some of the facts about this graduating class include:
- 2,320 students (from all three campuses and five regional centers) are candidates for graduation.
- Approximately 945 will receive degrees with honors or high honors.
- 200 are graduating as Phi Theta Kappa members, which is a National Honor Society of two-year colleges.
- 10 are international students.
- 81 are veterans of our United States armed forces.
冈本视频’s May 2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, with graduates from all campuses and regional centers to be celebrated.
This ceremony will be open to graduates, friends and family members who will be able to access the event through the 冈本视频 website and will include addresses by 冈本视频 President Dr. Jeff Rafn and 冈本视频 Student Ambassador, Alma Lopez.
