In response to growing need in the region, 冈本视频 will offer an English Language Learners (ELL) course at its Luxemburg center location. This ELL course is a two-year project grant from the Funds for Greater Green Bay of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation.
Free and available to the community, students will learn how to communicate English through exercises in writing, reading, and speaking. Students will be assessed and placed in one of the six learning levels based on their experience. Students can enroll at any time as there is no application process or deadline.
Classes are available two days per week, Monday and Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in person at the 冈本视频 Luxemburg center. Students in class levels three through six will participate virtually and will have access to 冈本视频’s technology resources.
“As our community continues to grow in diversity, it’s important that we provide the resources and access necessary for our non-English speaking students to succeed in their education, careers, and community,” said April Konitzer, manager of 冈本视频 Sturgeon Bay and 冈本视频 Luxemburg.
The course will be taught by Kevin Anderle, 冈本视频 ELL instructor. Anderle comes from the Fox Valley area, bringing over 10 years of experience helping businesses bridge the language gap with Spanish translation and training as well as over three years teaching English.
“My goal for students is to not only learn how to effectively communicate English grammar, but to communicate with confidence. I look forward to meeting and serving our Luxemburg community,” said Anderle.
