November is National Scholarship Month and 冈本视频 is celebrating the power of scholarships to transform lives. Scholarships open doors for students, providing financial support that helps them focus on their education and future career.
冈本视频 is proud to support students through scholarships made possible not only by generous community donors but also by the dedicated staff and faculty at the College.
The 冈本视频 Foundation encourages all employees to consider giving a monetary gift towards scholarships or the Student Emergency Fund through the Foundation鈥檚 annual Employee Giving Campaign. Here鈥檚 how it works:
On average, over the past 10-plus years, 85% of 冈本视频 employees contributed to the Employee Giving Campaign. This year, employees gave a total of $100,000 toward scholarships and emergency funding.
Employees give to help make college possible for students. Scholarships and emergency funding impact many students like Colleen, a 2023 graduate of 冈本视频鈥檚 Practical Nursing program who is currently earning her associate degree in nursing at 冈本视频. She says, 鈥淭hose people that believed in me, [and] that said 鈥榶es鈥 to those Foundation scholarships 鈥 their 鈥榶es鈥 really changed the course of my life.鈥
Check out the testimonials below from 冈本视频 employees about why they participate in employee giving. To learn more about scholarships at 冈本视频 and how you can help make college possible, please visit our Foundation page. If you are interested in making a donation, please visit our Give Now page.
"For the past 20-plus years, I have seen students struggle with financial barriers that impact their success in the classroom. I have personally seen the small amount that I contribute over time build up to make a significant impact. I take pride in knowing that my contribution helps students achieve their educational goals. I always look forward to reading the thank you letters from the scholarship recipients!"
鈥淓very year at graduation, I look at all the students proudly walking across the stage, and I realize that many of them would not be there without the help of the scholarships created by the Employee Giving Campaign.鈥
鈥淚 think it is important that students know we support them both in and out of the classroom to help them reach their goals.鈥
