Intensive English Program for International Students
The Intensive English Program (IEP) offers high-quality, student-centered instruction and advising. IEP prepares international students for success at ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ.
The IEP is for students who:
- Have basic English skills.
- Need to improve those skills to succeed in a U.S. college or university.
Already a local resident?

Program Outcomes:
- Improve your English language skills.
- Receive academic and personal support.
- Study with students from around the world.
- Start taking your degree courses after completing the IEP. 
- Complete the IEP in one or two semesters.
About the IEP
- The program is either one to four semesters semesters long, based on the needs of each student.
- When students start the IEP, they take a personalized test that places them in the right level of instruction. Placement decisions are based on a combination of TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, and MEPT test scores.
- Classes will take place Monday through Thursday on the ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Green Bay campus.
- IEP schedule:
- Fall semester: August - December (16 weeks)
- Spring semester: January - May (16 weeks)
- Delivery: In-person, full-time and part-time
- The IEP offers three levels of instruction: Intermediate, Advanced, and College
IEP Intermediate
Students must have a minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 32, IELTS 4.0, or MEPT 35 to enter the IEP. Please note: Admission to the IEP does not guarantee admission to the College.
To progress from IEP intermediate to advanced, students must complete all intermediate level coursework with a grade of:
- “B” or better
or - “C” and a MEPT score of 56

Students must have a minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 54, IELTS 5.5, or MEPT 56 to enter the IEP. Please note: Admission to the IEP does not guarantee admission to the College.

Application and Fees
Required application materials include:
- Completed Application Form. Apply now using our online application.
- Proof of English Language Proficiency. 
- Students may submit TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo; test scores or complete virtual testing through ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Assessment Center.
- Contact us if you have questions about additional language proficiency (which may include attending an English language high school or college program, intensive English program, or other).
- Proof of Secondary School Completion. Students may submit original or copies of secondary or post-secondary diplomas or transcripts, or national college entrance score reports.
- Proof of Financial Support for first year of study. (See the Paying for College page for tuition information.) 
- Passport Photocopy.
- $100 Application Fee. Fee is due after a student submits their application.
IEP Tuition and Fees 2025-2026
- Tuition and minimum fees: $245.40 per credit; books and other supplies not included. Full-time enrollment is 16 credits a semester.
- A payment plan option is available.
