Course Description
10-863-207 IEP INTERMEDIATE READING/WRITING 2 …students practice multiple reading comprehension strategies, such as skimming and scanning, using context to determine vocabulary meaning, and annotating texts. Students also develop word-building and dictionary skills and create a plan for vocabulary acquisition. Students will write basic essays 4-5 paragraph in length with a clear thesis, topic sentences, and transitions with basic essay organization (introduction, body, and conclusion). (Prerequisite: Completed 10-863-206, IEP Int Reading/Writing 1 with grade of "C" or better; Corequisite: 10-863-205, IEP Int Listening/Speaking 2)
