Early Childhood Licensing Basic Ages 3 to 5 - Certificate

This nine-credit certificate is designed for individuals wishing to satisfy the educational requirements for the State of Wisconsin Licensing Codes, DCF 251: Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers, and DCF 250: Licensing Rules for Family Child Care Centers. All courses in this certificate will transfer into the Early Childhood Preschool Certificate, Early Childhood Technical Diploma and Associate Degree programs. The following certificate trainings are included in this 3-5 Licensing Basic certificate offering: Sleep Baby Safe, Abusive Head Trauma, and Mandated Reporter.

Students following the study plan below will complete the Early Childhood Licensing Basic Ages 3-5 Pathways Certificate in the number of semesters shown. All courses in this certificate will transfer into the Early Childhood technical diploma and associate degree programs.

  • Curriculum Note: Students must earn a grade of "C" or higher in all 10-307-XXX courses to successfully graduate the Early Childhood Licensing Basic Ages 3-5 Certificate.
