10-546-113 WELLNESS MARKETING & TECHNOLOGY ...create and develop wellness marketing and promotion strategies to enhance customer and client participation in individual and group related wellness programming opportunities. Utilize technology and social media to promote wellness initiatives. (Prerequisite: Accepted in the Wellness & Health Promotion program)

What will I learn?

  1. Implement basic marketing principles for a wellness event or business.
  2. Apply techniques for gaining sponsorship for a wellness event or business.
  3. Prepare for professional interaction with the media (in house and externally).
  4. Communicate with members of the community and the media.
  5. Explore the role of social media and technology in marketing wellness programs.
  6. Explain how social media campaigns are monitored and measured.
  7. Apply use of technology for improving individual client education and compliance with wellness programs.
  8. Develop skills for grass roots (word of mouth) marketing.
  9. Assess effectiveness of the marketing plan.
