Associate of Science Transfer - Associate Degree

The Associate of Science Transfer - Associate Degree is designed for students who may be undecided in their major, have a specific career in mind, or would like to earn a two-year transfer degree with the ultimate goal of obtaining a bachelor's degree. This program delivers courses that may include the academic areas of communications, social sciences and humanities with an emphasis in mathematics and sciences.

Requirements for Program Entry
- Students who are interested in applying to the Associate of Science Transfer - Associate Degree should complete the application and are recommended to meet with an ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Admission Advisor or ¸Ô±¾ÊÓƵ Career Coach before submitting the application or once the application is submitted if they have any questions. Composition - select 6 credits
Public Speaking - select 3 credits
Mathematics - select one math course with a minimum of 3 credits at a level of College Algebra or higher
Biological Sciences - select a minimum of one course with a lab *
Physical Sciences - select a minimum of one course with a minimum of 3 credits and a lab *

Graduation Requirement - 1 credit needed overall
- Curriculum Note: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
- All prerequisite/corequisite courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
- The credit for 10-890-101, College 101 is an Institutional Requirement for graduation. Consequently, it is not part of the program credit requirements, but must be passed with a "C" or better.
- English Composition 1, 10-801-136, must be passed with a "C" or better.
- * Mathematics & Natural Sciences: Twenty (20) credits needed overall. Select one Biological and one Physical science course with lab components. Science courses without a lab component are noted and can be used to fulfill focus area credit requirements.
- **Applied Statistics Enhancement is a one-credit “add-on” course to move learning from an introductory statistics to applied statistics knowledge. You may enroll in the two courses simultaneously.
- ***Calc Physics 1 Enhancement is a one-credit “add-on” course to move from algebra-based physics to calculus-based physics knowledge. Enroll in this course upon completion of 10806154 General Physics 1 and 10804198 Calculus 1.
- ****Calc Physics 2 Enhancement is a one-credit “add-on” course to move from algebra-based physics to calculus-based physics knowledge. Enroll in this course upon completion of 10806164 General Physics 2 and 10804198 Calculus 1.
- World Language requirement may be met with one (1) year in high school with a “C” or better OR one (1) semester in college. World language courses may count toward Humanities, Fine Arts, or Electives.
- Elective college courses may count toward Humanities, Fine Arts, or Electives.

What else do I need to know about the program?

- Students will need to meet admissions requirements for transfer college and/or university of their choice.
- Create a schedule to meet your needs. Some classes can be taken online or in a flexible format to fit your lifestyle.
- Many courses require a final grade "C" or better to transfer credit to 4-year institutions. For transfer purposes, students must also meet the accepting 4-year institution requirements to earn the Bachelor degree with the accepting institution’s major(s).

- An in-person career experience, such as an internship, practicum, or credit for prior learning, may be required.
- Some online courses may be held at specific dates/times.

- Classes between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- Evening
- Classes between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
- Weekend
- A combination of online classes and Saturday and/or Sunday classes.
- Full-time
- 12 or more credits per term.
- Part-time
- Fewer than 12 credits per term.
